T LEVELS

T Levels offer a practical, employer-led study programme.

learn the skills you need

T Levels are a gold standard in vocational education training. They are a Level 3, two-year qualification that combines classroom theory, practical learning and a minimum 315-hour industry placement with an employer to help you develop your industry-specific skills.

T Levels suit learners, aged 16-19, who want a more applied, employer-led study programme and are an ideal course if you have finished your GCSEs and want the knowledge and聽experience to go into employment, an apprenticeship or university. They are available in a range of subjects from construction to health care, and legal to animal care!

A T Level Distinction* is equivalent to three A Levels at A* - and will be recognised by universities for anyone wanting to further their studies.

Industry Placements

When you study a T Level, you鈥檒l spend 80% of your time in the classroom or in practical workshops and 20% of your time on an industry placement.

Your industry placement will take place within a local business and will last a minimum of 315 hours (approximately 45 days). It can be undertaken as a block of time (over college holidays for example), or as individual days.聽When you undertake your work placement, you can expect to be treated like a member聽of staff, experience a full induction and will be assigned a supervisor or mentor for the聽duration of your placement. It鈥檚 a great opportunity to learn what a career is like while you study.

How do I find a placement

We'll work with you to help you source a placement but will encourage you to self-source where possible - perhaps following up work experience from school or a part-time job. We have great deal of knowledge about local employers and have lots of tools available to support you throughout the process.
